Six days and counting until the first litter from Niwot Samoyds arrives. We are co-breeding this litter with Photo 51 Samoyeds, the second litter for them.
Our poor girl Mars continues to grow her belly. Her undercoat belly fur has let go and I spent some time today with her on the grooming table combing it out. Her nipples can now be seen and the mammary glands behind them appear to be starting to fill with milk. While she loves to cuddle and is almost demanding at wanting the constant human touch, she is not as driven to fight with Synnie for a spot on the couch next to me. Before we left Colorado, she was digging in the back yard and had managed to make herself a fairly large den under the garden. Everyone at home was warned that all the dogs MUST be watched when let out back so that she doesn't do anymore digging. Yeah, that sorta worked on the humans.
